Feed Me - Pet Sitting Services — Last updated: July 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before booking any services with Feed Me - Pet Sitting ("we", "us", "our"). By booking our services, you ("the Client", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
1.1 We provide pet sitting services, which may include feeding, exercising, companionship, basic grooming, and the administration of oral medication as agreed in writing prior to the commencement of services.
1.2 The specific services to be provided will be confirmed in writing (including by email or booking form) before each engagement.
1.3 We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion, including where we believe a pet's needs exceed the scope of services we can safely provide.
2. Bookings, Payments and Cancellations
2.1 All bookings must be confirmed in writing and are subject to availability.
2.2 Payment terms: A deposit may be required at booking, with the balance due on or before the first day of service, as communicated at the time of booking.
2.3 Cancellations by the Client:
- More than 7 days' notice: full refund of any deposit.
- Between 3 and 7 days' notice: 50% of the deposit refunded.
- Less than 3 days' notice: deposit is non-refundable.
2.4 If we must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, we will provide as much notice as possible and refund any payments for services not rendered.
3. Client Responsibilities
3.1 You must provide accurate and complete information about your pet, including temperament, behavioural issues, medical conditions, dietary requirements, and any history of aggression.
3.2 You must ensure your pet is up to date with vaccinations, flea, tick and worm treatments, and holds current council registration where required.
3.3 You must provide adequate food, medication, equipment (leads, crates, litter, etc.) and clear written instructions for the duration of the service.
3.4 You must provide emergency contact details and the details of your regular veterinarian.
3.5 You warrant that your home (where services are provided at your premises) is safe, secure, and free from hazards, and that all fencing, gates and enclosures are adequate to contain your pet.
4. Administration of Medication
4.1 Where agreed in writing, we will administer oral medication only, strictly in accordance with the written instructions you provide and/or the directions of your veterinarian.
4.2 We are not veterinary professionals. We will exercise reasonable care in administering medication, but we do not warrant any particular health outcome.
4.3 You acknowledge and agree that:
- (a) you are solely responsible for providing the correct medication, correct dosage instructions, and any relevant warnings;
- (b) some pets may resist or refuse oral medication, and we cannot guarantee successful administration on every occasion;
- (c) to the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any adverse reaction, injury, illness or death arising from the administration of medication in accordance with your instructions, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
4.4 If your pet refuses medication or shows an adverse reaction, we will notify you (or your emergency contact) as soon as practicable and, where we consider it necessary, seek veterinary attention at your expense.
5. Veterinary Care and Emergencies
5.1 In the event of a medical emergency, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you or your nominated emergency contact.
5.2 If you cannot be reached, you authorise us to seek veterinary treatment for your pet, and you agree to reimburse all reasonable veterinary costs, transport costs, and related expenses incurred.
5.3 You authorise us to follow the advice of the attending veterinarian, including in relation to emergency treatment.
6. Liability
6.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6.2 Subject to clause 6.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- (a) we are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, death, or escape of your pet arising from pre-existing conditions, the pet's own behaviour, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control;
- (b) we are not liable for damage to your property, or injury or damage caused by your pet to third parties or their property;
- (c) our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services is limited to the total fees paid by you for the relevant booking.
6.3 You agree to indemnify us against any claims, costs, or damages arising from injury or damage caused by your pet to any person, animal, or property, except to the extent caused by our negligence.
6.4 You acknowledge that pets can behave unpredictably, and that despite the exercise of reasonable care, incidents including injury, illness, or escape may occur.
7. Keys and Access
7.1 Any keys, access codes or fobs provided will be stored securely and used only for the purpose of delivering the agreed services.
7.2 Keys will be returned or securely destroyed at the conclusion of services, as directed by you.
8. Privacy
8.1 We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Your information will only be used for the purpose of providing our services.
9. Photos and Media
9.1 We may take photos or videos of your pet during services. These may be used on our website or social media unless you opt out in writing.
10. General
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
10.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
10.3 These Terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
